An AirCheq Touch CO₂ measurement can be calibrated in three ways. For first use, we recommend performing a manual calibration first and then enabling the automatic CO₂ baseline.
Calibration is usually unnecessary if the sensor naturally reaches approximately 400–500 ppm in a well-ventilated room.
1. MANUAL FACTORY-VALUE CALIBRATION
• Place the Touch near an open window or outside for at least 30 minutes.
• Wait until the displayed CO₂ value is stable.
• Open the menu and select Reset CO2 to factory setting.
• Select Start.
• Leave the sensor in the same well-ventilated place for at least another 30 minutes.
After completion, the sensor should display approximately 400 ppm. The calibration is retained when the Touch is switched off and on again. Customers may perform this factory calibration themselves.
2. ENABLE AUTOMATIC BASELINE CORRECTION
Automatic Baseline Correction (ABC) uses the lowest measured CO₂ value as a reference for outdoor-air level. Over approximately ten days, the zero point is gradually adjusted.
Open Settings, select CO2 Auto Base Line Setting and choose Enable.
3. COMPARE WITH A VALIDATED CO₂ METER
• Place both sensors next to each other in a well-ventilated room.
• Leave them together for at least 20 minutes.
• Read the value from the validated CO₂ meter.
• Open the CO₂ calibration menu on the Touch.
• Adjust the displayed value up or down.
GOOD TO KNOW
CO₂ sensors respond quickly to local differences in airflow and ventilation. Temporary differences of approximately 80–100 ppm can occur under otherwise identical conditions.
